Jennifer Longworth, MSN, FAACM, is a Clinical Nurse and Primary Care Case Manager based in Charleston, South Carolina. She earned her Master’s degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Currently, she provides care to patients at the Ralph H. Johnson Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Jennifer credits her achievements to her family, stating, My family has been my inspiration. Many of my uncles and aunts have dedicated their careers to healthcare. I began my journey in emergency medical services as an EMT at the age of 16 and later advanced to become a paramedic. My experience as a paramedic during the 9/11 tragedy made me realize that I needed a different path for the sake of my children, which led me to pursue a nursing education.
With a rich background in emergency care and a commitment to nursing, Jennifer continues to make a significant impact on the lives of her patients and their families.

What do you attribute your success to?
My family. My uncles and aunts--everyone was in health care. Ive been an EMT since I was 16, and later became a paramedic. I went to nursing school to become a nurse for my children; I was a paramedic at 9/11 and realized I couldnt keep doing that so I went to nursing school.
